Mauii Sauce ("Mauii Sauce," "we," "us," or "our") is a small-batch sauce maker based in Fargo, North Dakota. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit mauiisauce.com (the "Site") or place an order, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us. When you place an order, submit a wholesale request, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, the items in your order, and any message you send us.

Payment information. Card payments are processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles card data in accordance with industry (PCI-DSS) standards. We receive only confirmation of payment and limited order details (such as the last four digits and billing name).

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our hosting provider automatically collect basic technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view, using cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).

2. How we use your information

• Process, fulfill, ship, and confirm your orders;
• Respond to questions, wholesale requests, and customer-service messages;
• Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and — only if you opt in — occasional news about new sauces or events;

• Stripe — payment processing;
• Email/notification provider — to send order and wholesale notifications;
• Cloudflare — website hosting, delivery, and security;

• Professional advisors or authorities where required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

4. Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails if you ask us to. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any such email, or by emailing us at the address below. Order- and account-related messages (like receipts and shipping updates) are not marketing and may still be sent.

5. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar storage: essential ones that make the shopping cart and checkout work, and basic analytics that help us understand how the Site is used. You can control or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent the cart from working.

6. Data retention

We keep order and contact information for as long as needed to fulfill your order, provide support, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting requirements, after which we delete or anonymize it.
